Kettle Black Kitchen is a family run business. Executive Chef Christopher Lund (Son-in-Law) and General Manager Sara Anderson (Mother-in-Law) take on the day to day operations. The rest of the family; Emily Lund (Christopher's Wife/Sara & David's Daughter), David Anderson (Father-in-Law), John Anderson (son), and David Anderson (son) help out in all areas of the restaurant. As it's a small staff all are considered family.

Executive Chef Christopher originally from the San Francisco Bay area, moved to the Phoenix - Scottsdale area when he was 20 years old and began his culinary career. Although he had a few jobs in the area his culinary studies under Chef Matt Carter specifically at The Mission (Old Town Scottsdale) is where he really found his love for creating flavor profiles that are sure to be mouthwatering.

Sara and David met when he was a cook and she was a waitress at Madison's beloved Alt-n-Bach's Town Tap. This is where they both found their love for the restaurant industry. Emily's first job was at Alt-n-Bach's at the age of 15 as a dishwasher. Sara continued to wait tables throughout the years and held on to the love for the restaurant life.

Emily and Christopher met at a restaurant they both worked at in downtown Phoenix, while Emily was attending Arizona Culinary Institute. The relationship quickly blossomed into a marriage and two children Johnathan (2) & Scarlet (1). They decided to move (back) to Madison to live and raise their kids.

When the opportunity to purchase a restaurant on Monroe Street became available the family jumped on it.  Owning a restaurant only a couple miles from home, just felt right. All three kids (Emily, David, & John) and David are alumni of Madison West High School. Go Regents!
